Inzmam-Ul-Haq is new Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket

Inzamam-Ul-Haq is new Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket team for forthcoming Afghanistan ODI Series, Asia Cup 2023 and Cricket World Cup 2023.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Inzmam Ul Haq as the chief selector of Pakistan team for a second term.

Inzamam-Ul-Haq was also chief selector for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 that was played in Wales and England.

In his first term as chief selector, he held the position from 2016 to 2019.

Inzamam is hero of 1992 world cup as he played a crucial role to win Semi-final and final of 1992 world cup.

Inzamam has played 120 Tests, and has scored 8830 runs with a healthy average of 49.60.

He has played 378 ODIs, and he has scored 11739 runs at 39.52 with 10 centuries and 83 fifties.

In his second term as chief selector, he will succeed Haroon Rasheed who stepped down from this role in the last month.

Inzamam has been given responsibility of couple of important tournaments including Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup that will be held in India that will start in October 2023.

It is not the first time that Inzamam will assume the office as the chief selector of the Pakistan men’s cricket team since he has previously 3 hears experience of the same role.

Now, he has assumed the charge just before the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup later this year.

The ICC event is set to commence on October 5 this year with Pakistan to begin their campaign on October 6 against the Nethrelands.
