Bismah Maroof gets Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her multiple prolific and match-winning performances in Pakistan Women Cricket for last many years.

Pakistan national women team player, Bismah Maroof has been conferred the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in a ceremony on Pakistan Day 23 March, 2023.

The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz is the fourth-highest civilian award in Pakistan that is conferred in honour of the wonderful performers.

Besides Bismah, Babar received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the third highest civilian award in the same ceremony on Pakistan Day .

“Humbled and honoured to receive the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. I dedicate this award to my parents especially to my baba, who stood by me through thick and thin. His cheers for me got through my hardest days” Bismah expressed here feelings on this auspicious moment.

Bismah has undoubtedly transformed into one of the good cricketers in the world cricket and best allrounder of Pakistan in the last a few years.

In the 124 ODIs, she has represented Pakistan, and she has notched up 3310 runs and 44 wickets, proving to be one of the world’s most prolific white ball allrounders in women ODI cricket.

She also had played 132 Women T20I, and she has accumulated 2658 runs and 36 wickets.

Bismah started her career for Pakistan when she was 15-year-old and she didn’t take a long while to establish herself as a regular player in Pakistan cricket.

For Pakistan Women Cricket team, she has been evolved into a dependable batsman who can hold an innings together for last many years.

Bismah Maroof has captained Pakistan Women T20 team since 2016 as she took over from Sana Mir after the Women’s World T20 in 2016. Bismah Maroof gets Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2023.

She has been a wonderful performer for Pakistan cricket for a long time. It was Bismah who who helped Pakistan secure a berth in the 2009 World Cup with her prolific all-round performance.

She got in limelight after her wonderful match-winning batting performances in 2015-16 when she elegantly scored 92 and 91 not out against Bangaldesh and New Zealand.

She also scored a memorable knock off 99 she made in Pakistan’s 57-run win over South Africa in March 2015. Since then she has been a regular part of Pakistan women cricket team.
