Pakistan will face India in CWC 2023 on 14 October in Ahmedabad as ICC has official announced the schedule of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule. 

The mega event will kick off with a match in England and New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan will open its World Cup 2023 campaign in a match against one of the qualifiers in Hyderabad on October 6.

India will play its first match against five-time World Cup winners Australia in Chennai on October 8.

In the main round of the tournament, 10 teams will participate since the first eight have qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League.

Remaining two teams will qualify from the Qualifier tournament currently being played in Zimbabwe that will end on July 9.

The schedule for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is as below:

Each team plays the other nine in a round-robin format, with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals.

Key Matches

Pakistan will face India in CWC 2023 on 14 October however, there are other a few crucial matches, as well.

The CWC 2019 final in England vs New Zealand will be replayed again on 5 October in Ahmadabad

India vs Australia in Bengaluru on October 20 and England vs South Africa on October 20 in Mumbai are also key fixtures.

In addition to these, Australia will face arch-rivals England on November 4 in Ahmedabad.

India will face England on October 29 in Lucknow. Similar, match in Australia and New Zealand on 28 October in Dharmshala will be awaited by the viewers.

The group stage will end with the match between Pakistan and England on November 12.

Semi Final and Final

The first semi-final of CWC 2023 will be played on November 15 in Mumbai and the second semi-final will be played on November 16 in Kolkata.

The Final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

All three knock-out fixtures will be day-night affairs, with the matches beginning at 14:00 local time.

The tournament will be hosted at 10 venues.
