Gmail offers Blue Tick for Verified Users as the Google Workspace Team has recently announced to offer verified checkmarks for the Gmail users.

The feature of verified checkmarks in Gmail will be offered to only those email accounts that use BIMI and verified mark certificates (VMCs).

According to Google, the aim of starting this new exciting feature of the verified checkmark is to ensure security that Gmail users are receiving emails only from the legitimate senders.

Gmail’s blue verified checkmark is an exciting new security update for the Google Workspace and one can immediately apply for its blue checkmark to become a verified Gmail sender.

In the recent past, Google has been taking major steps to ensure security on its various platforms and now to ensure email security, this blue verified checkmark has been initiated and this step is widely appreciated by the netizens. 

To ensure high standard of security, Google is famous for taking preemptive measures as couple of years ago, Google adopted Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI).

BIMI helps in authenticating emails as it is an email authentication protocol and it assists brands in appending their trademarked logos to commercial emails.

BIMI was adopted to assist email recipients so that they could visually verify the identity of email senders.

Similar to Twitter and Facebook, now Google has adopted the blue checkmark to prove one’s digital identity and assure email readers that their emails are trustworthy.
