X allows paid users to hide their Checkmarks

X allows hiding Blue Checkmarks for the paid users since X allows its paid users to hide their checkmarks.

The formerly known company “Twitter” has made a new change in the platform and it has introduced the paid verification last year with the relaunch of Twitter Blue.

The service was renamed to XBlue after the recent rebranding of the social media platform.

This new feature will help the users to get benefit from subscription features without showing that it is a verified account.

The newly introduced option to hide the checkmark can be customized through the “Profile customization” section of account settings.

The help page of the company has also been with the revised paid subscriptions, that is titled ‘About Twitter Blue’, saying that even if you hide the checkmark it might be visible in some places.

“As a subscriber, you can choose to hide your checkmark on your account. The check mark will be hidden on your profile and posts. The checkmark may still appear in some places and some features could still reveal you have an active subscription.” the extract of the information on the page.

Recently, the platform also removed legacy checkmarks, but later reinstated the checkmarks for top accounts — even if they didn’t pay for it.

The platform also enabled features like encrypted DMs for verified users. Now, X allows hiding Blue Checkmarks for the paid users since X allows its paid users to hide their verification checkmarks.

In last 6 months, the company has introduced features like a 10,000-character limit for posts, a 3-hour-long video upload limit, fewer ads on the timeline, and most recently ad revenue sharing for subscribed users in order to incentivize people to post more on the platform.
