West Indies defeats India in T20I Series by 3-2 as West Indies won the fifth and last T20 match played at Lauderhill on August 13, 2023.
Before the fifth and final match the T20I series was levelled by 2-2 and the fifth match was just like a final of the series.
In the 5th T20I, West Indies comprehensively defeated India by eight wickets and won the 5 match T20 series by 3-2.
West Indies won the last and 5th T20I by 8 wickets with a thumping innings by Brandon King of 85 not out.

In the Indian innings, India set a target of 165 where Suryakumar Yadav made a 45-ball 61 to guide India to 165 for nine against the West Indies in after opting to bat.
From India Tilak Varma made handsome contribution of 27 off 18 balls after India opted to bat first.
For West Indies, Romario Shepherd was pick of the bowlers and he took 4 wickets for just 31 runs in his quota of overs.
While chasing the target of 165,West Indies rode on skipper Brandon King’s unbeaten 85 and Nicholas Pooran’s 47 to romp home comfortably in 18 overs.
From India, Varma was the only bowler who picked up one wicket for India giving away 17 runs.
West Indies successfully chased the target of 165 and ended their innings at 171 for 2 in 18 overs.

In the 5 match T20I series, West Indies won the 1st T20I match by 4 runs at Tarouba and won the 2nd T20I match by 2 wickets at Providence.
India Cam back strongly in the 3rd T20I, as India won the 3rd T20I match by 7 wickets at Providence and also won the 4th T20I match by 9 wickets at Lauderhill.
