According to sources, citizens in bigger cities of the country, including Lahore and Karachi, passport applicants are facing long delays to receive their passports.
The normal passport delivery that normally takes 10 days is now being taken 30-40 days.
Similarly, the urgent passport delivery that normally takes 5 days is now taking 12-15 days minimum.
Akin to other categories, the Fast-track Passport delivery that usually takes just 2 days now its taking 5-6 days.
The applicants who are going for Umrah, job and study abroad are facing difficulties due to this unusual delay in getting passports.
Sources has revealed that the delay in passport delivery is due to the extraordinary increase in the number of passport applicants.
