Green Revolution of COAS in Pakistan has been initiated and it was the combined venture of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif.
COS of Pakistan General Asim recently inaugurated the Khanewal Model Agricultural Farm for promotion of agricultural sector.
The initiative was taken to contribute to the national prosperity and the inaugural event was attended by local farmers and officials.
In the inauguration ceremony, the COAS shared his views regarding the scope of ‘Green Initiative’ and its expansion all over Pakistan.

He added that the key aim of “Green Revolution” is to strengthen the agriculture sector in Pakistan put Pakistan out of the prevailing food crisis.
“The army belongs to the people, and the people belong to the army,” the COAS emphasized the role of Pakistan army in progress of the country.
At this occasion, he highly praised the people of Pakistan for their self-respect, determination and competence and he believes that the nation has potential to overcome the challenges.
COAS Gen. Asim said that Pakistan army is focusing on the agricultural revolution and this revolution will be spread out all over Pakistan.
He also appreciated the government’s policies to uplift agriculture sector in Pakistan and he also apprehended the transformation of the agricultural landscape of Pakistan.
“Pakistan will witness an agricultural revolution,” he was so hopeful and determined.

The Khanewal Model Agricultural Farm is one of the steps that are being taken to benefit small-scale farmers and promote sustainable practices.
It was disclosed that similar modern farms would be established across Pakistan.
During the ceremony, army chief Gen Asim invoked the poetic wisdom of Allama Iqbal, focusing on “Khudi” and self-esteem.
