Yoga is solution of diabetes as the International Yoga Day is observed on June 21. It is celebrated across the world to spread awareness about the benefits of it.

Practicing it regularly is, hands down, one of the best ways to lead a healthy life.

Doing so not only helps battle physical health related issues but also keeps the mind calm.

Yoga can help one deal with diabetes as well. One of the most common diseases in the country, diabetes comes with an array of risk factors and complications.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, “Pakistan is to the world’s first-largest adult diabetes population.

The past three decades witnessed a 150 per cent increase in the number of people with diabetes in the country.”

On International Yoga Day, in spoke to several experts who shared how yoga can help control diabetes. Yoga is solution of diabetes.

Himalayan Siddha Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Research and Development Centre, said, “The first step towards controlling the condition of diabetes is to regulate your lifestyle.

Modify your diet to ensure your meals are healthy, fresh, and home-cooked. Avoid eating heavily processed foods that contain fats, sugar and other unhealthy ingredients.”

Eating health food and having healthy eating habits besides regular Yoga are hidden secret of fitness.

As per figure of international Diabetes Federation (IDF), there were 33 million adults in Pakistan are living with diabetes in 2021

This figure shows an increase of 70% in diabetes patient in Pakistan since 2019 as one person out of four persons has diabetes now.

This means that Pakistan now has the highest number of people living with diabetes in the world, after China’s 141 million and India’s 74 million patients.

Regular exercise, daily yoga, and balanced diet can help to remain safe of this widespread disease. Even, the diabetes patients can have a healthy and peaceful life by controlling their diet and doing regular Yoga.
