CPR Training to be included in Curriculum

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced and launched the CPR training program as a countrywide training program for the life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR), is an to bring improvement to the health sector.

It is also planned to include CRP and First-Aid training modules in the curriculum at various education levels.

The decision was announced after the video of a doctor couple giving CPR treatment to a drowning boy went viral.

The premier issued directives to the Strategic Reforms Head, Salman Sufi, to make instant arrangements in this regard. Sufi said, “PM Shahbaz Sharif is going to initiate reforms program in the health sector.”

He also said that the training program matching international standards would help in saving lives in cases of emergency especially due to rising case of COVID-19.

He said that this training will be made a part of the schools’ curriculum and every citizen will be trained under this campaign.

Sufi further stated that the strategy to launch the campaign will be announced next week.
