Omni One VR treadmill: Future of Gaming is released by Virtuix for the VR gaming fans.
The Omni One is lighter in weight, more compact, easy to move, easy to fold up, and provides players with freedom of movement, in comparison to its predecessor, Omni Pro.
The newer version of Omni, Omni pro also allows the player to crouch, kneel, and jump as well. “We’re thrilled about Omni One,” said the CEO (Jan Goetgeluk) of Virtuix.
Virtuix is the VR gaming company that has built the Omni VR treadmill and in 2020 the campaign to launch Omni one was initiated. In 2023, the final version is revealed however currently, it is being shipped to the early investors only.

The company has also disclosed that there is a long waitlist for Omni One subscribers around 35,000.
The CEO of Virtuix iterated the plans as currently Omni One units are being shipped to the early investors only. However, the planned consumers may get it at the end of this year.

How does VR treadmill work?
Omni One comes with a circular disc along a special shoes. It’s circular platform provides omni directional movement to players as players can glide on it having special shoes on.
The VR platform disc has a set of sensors that can track the movement of the feet of a player. The details of the movements are communicated to the Virtual Reality (VR) module.
The headset and the shoes in collective create the illusion of physical movement for the player and the players finds himself in the virtual world of a game.

Omni One has a set of straps attached to player’s waist and arms to ensure safety of the player. These straps hold the player while kneeling or jumping.
The Omni One is predecessor of the Omni Pro home arcade treadmill, However, the Omni Pro is light in weight and more compact.
Omni One is also easy to move and fold. It offers freedom of movement to the players as a player can kneel, walk jump., crouch, and jump as in the following video:
The parabolic VR ‘treadmills’ requires a player to wear straps around waist and arms and special low-friction shoes to keep the player stable and in the center of the base’s parabola.
Along Omni One treadmill, Virtuix ships its own developed games. However, Omni One can be used with third-party games and also can be connected with PC games.
2. Pricing and availability of Omni One
The company has revealed that introductory price of the Omni one will be $2,595 plus shipping. The Omni One is shipped with the Pico Neo 3 Pro headset that is included in this price.
Virtuix has already raised more than $35 million with the investment option. The company has already shipped over $16 million worth of products.
The company has also shipped more than 4,000 Omni Pro systems across 45 countries.
