500 Wins in ODIs for Pakistan: Babar's Team gets Milestone

500 Wins in ODIs for Pakistan as Babar Azam’s team has achieved this lustrous milestone. Pakistan is the third team to achieve this honour after Australia and India.

Pakistan won their 500th ODI on 2th April 2023 by a five wickets in the opening match of the five-match series against New Zealand (NZ).

Pakistan is only the third team who has achieved this honour to reach the 500 win mark. The other two teams are Australia and India.

Australia is at the top of the list with 594 wins and India is number 2 in the list with 539 wins in ODI cricket.

Till now Pakistan has 950 ODI matches and has won 501 matches with a win percentage of 52.3%.

Pakistan played its first ODI in February 1973. However, Pakistan recorded their first win in ODI cricket in their just 2nd match, the match was played against England in August 1974.

In the 500th ODI of Pakistan, Pakistan won the toss and set New Zealand to bat first. New Zealand set a total of 288/7 with a century innings of Daryl Mitchell, who scored 113 runs.  

Pakistan won the match in the 49th over with five wickets left with the help of a brilliant innings of 117 by Fakhar Zaman. Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq gave a 124-run stand to Pakistan for the first wicket.
