Naila Kiani is first Pakistani woman on Nepal’s Annapurna I

Naila Kiani, the First Pakistani woman on Annapurna I as Naila Kiani has been first Pakistani women to summit Annapurna I.

Everest Today greeted Naila Kiani as she became the first Pakistani woman on the summit of Annapurna I (8091 m). It was also told that Kiani achieved this feat earlier this morning on 17 April 2023. Seven Summit Treks organized this event.

Naila is the Pakistani female mountaineer who has got the honour to scale three peaks of over 8000 meters, as she summited Annapurna I, today.

Previously she summitted Gasherbrum I peak on 12 August 2022 as Gasherbrum is the 11th highest mountain peak in the world.

Naila is a Dubai-based banker and mother of two children. She got a lot of popularity after her wedding photo-shoot at K2 Basecamp in 2018 that got viral on social media.

Last year, Naila also successfully carried Pakistani flag on top of the King of mountains K2 in her first attempt. She started her mountaineering career couple of years ago and she achieved this goal just after one year she started mountaineering.

She achieved this on 21st July 2022 when she left lower camp 3 at app 6950m for her final push and summited next morning on 22nd July, 2022.

She expressed that her whole journey was not easy as the last a few months before the expedition were incredibly difficult.

She also told that getting to Skardu and to start the expedition was an achievement in itself for her.

Naila added that training whilst handling a three years old and a year and a half old teething toddler, working full time job and managing all this has been incredibly hard for me.
