BAHWALPUR: Governor Punjab praised IUB Rain Project as the Governor Punjab and Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Engr. Muhammad Baleegh ur Rehman visited IUB Baghdad ul Jadeed campus.

Governor Punjab visited IUB and inaugurated Faculty building and visited various projects of IUB Governor Punjab visited IUB Rain Project.

Governor Punjab Engr. Muhammad Baleegh ur Rehman also participated as Chief guest in oath taking ceremony of Student societies of IUB.

The Governor Punjab praised the academic and research work going on in the university especially the projects like virus free cotton verities, artificial rain project recently funded by the Government, 2.5 MW solar project and other development projects.

“Our universities should focus on character building and I am pleased to see the Character Building Society (CBS) at Bahawalpur university. Besides Knowledge and skill, it is the character that makes a man worthful” said by the chancellor.

“I also praise the Climate Change Society (CCS) that is need of the time as climate change is seriously effecting our lives but also having adverse effects on agriculture and economy of Pakistan” acclaimed by the Chancellor.

The Chancellor IUB also praised to see the scout team of IUB. Chancellor said that he is leader of all boys scouts and the Begum governor is leader of all the Girls scouts and he has his own vision to implement the idea of scouts in true sense in his tenure of Chancellorship.
