Arshad Nadeem’s journey to Gold for Pakistan. Arshad Nadeem, wearing strapping around his right arm, gave the Asian nation their first javelin gold with a Games record mark of 90.18 metres. 

Arshad Nadee, a Pakistani Olympian who belongs to Mian Channu, Kanewal has brougt an jonout to his country with a record-breaking javelin throw.

The first impression made by Arshad Nadeem on international level was in Dec 2019, when he established a new South Asian Games record in javelin throw with a distance of 86.29 m.

Arshad Nadeem is a a 25 year old Pakistani athlete who is specialised in javelin throw. In domestic competitions of Pakistan, he typically represents WAPDA.

Arshad directly qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics on the base of his performance in South Asian Games.

In 2020 Summer Olympics, he also qualified for the final of any track and field event at the Olympic Games.

He continued his success in 2022, and represented Pakistan in World Athletics Championships and he also became the first ever Pakistani to qualify for the final.

Arshad belongs to an agriculturist family of Mian Channu. Among five brothers, his number is is the third in his family. His father is a mason and his father brought him in a way “I don’t want hm to be a mason like me”.

For this school life, Arshad was an exceptionally good athlete as he was used to perform well in running, throwing, and other athletics competitions at school level.

Arshad has also his fond for cricket in his school life and his passion for cricket was so immense that he played various district-level tape-ball tournaments in his school life. 

Arshad’s first appearance in international athletics competitions was in javelin throw events from 2015. Arshad Nadeem’s journey to Gold for Pakistan.

In 2016, he received a scholarship from World Athletics which made him eligible to train at the IAAF High Performance Training Centre in Mauritius.

In May 2017, Nadeem won a bronze medal with a best throw of 76.33 metres at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.
